What We Grow

At Shenandoah Farm & Orchard, we grow food with intention — focusing on seasonal crops, healthy soil, and methods that support quality over shortcuts.

Our farm produces a mix of fresh vegetables, greens, and eggs, grown using a combination of outdoor gardens and protected growing spaces, including our high tunnels. This allows us to extend the growing season and provide fresh produce even during cooler months.

Vegetables & Greens

We grow a variety of seasonal vegetables depending on the time of year, including:

  • Leafy greens such as spinach, arugula, kale, mustard greens, and Swiss chard

  • Root crops like carrots, beets, turnips, and radishes

  • Brassicas including broccoli and cauliflower

  • Alliums such as green onions and leeks

  • Seasonal favorites like tomatoes during warmer months

Our crops are grown with a strong emphasis on soil health, proper spacing, and hands-on care, allowing plants to grow naturally and develop full flavor.
